About Us
Our Best Start in Life Family Hubs and Family Help service is dedicated to ensuring children, young people, and families receive the right support at the right time. We bring together a wide range of services under one welcoming roof—creating a space where families feel valued, supported, and empowered.

We are now looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Front of House Receptionist to be the first point of contact for families, professionals, and visitors accessing our hubs.

The Role
As a key member of our Business Support team, you will be the warm, reassuring face that greets everyone who walks through our doors.

You’ll help create a safe, inclusive, and professional environment while providing essential administrative support to keep our services running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Welcoming families and visitors with kindness, professionalism, and respect
• Managing reception duties including answering calls, responding to enquiries, and signposting to services
• Supporting families to access appointments, groups, and hub activities
• Maintaining accurate records, updating systems, and handling confidential information appropriately
• Providing administrative support to Family Help practitioners and wider hub teams
• Ensuring the reception area is organised, safe, and reflective of our family-friendly ethos
• Assisting with room bookings, meeting preparation, and general office tasks
• Working collaboratively with partners and professionals across the hub network

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Warm, approachable, and confident in engaging with families from all backgrounds
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage a busy front-of-house environment with professionalism
• A clear communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable using digital systems and learning new processes
• Calm under pressure and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion
• Passionate about supporting children, families, and community services
Experience in reception, customer service, or administrative roles is helpful, but your attitude, values, and willingness to learn matter just as much.
