Monarch Education are working with a secondary school in Perry Barr to appoint a SENDCo on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September.
The SENDCo will lead the development of SEND provision and manage the day-to-day coordination of support for students with additional needs.

Main Purpose
Lead SEND policy and provision across the school
Manage the delivery of SEND support
Work with staff, parents, and external agencies
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
Monitor and review SEND provision
Ensure SEND policy is implemented and aligned with school improvement plans
Contribute to school evaluation and planning
Monitor the use of SEND fundingOperational Responsibilities
Maintain the SEND register and provision mapping
Identify students with SEND and coordinate support
Track and analyse student progress
Keep accurate recordsEHCP Responsibilities
Manage EHCP processes and annual reviews
Ensure compliance with SEND requirements
Liaise with parents, carers, and professionalsTeaching and Learning Support
Advise staff on supporting SEND students
Promote the graduated approach to SEND support
Support differentiation in the classroomPartnership Working
Act as the main contact for external agencies and the local authority
Work with external professionals
Communicate with parents and carers
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree or equivalent
Experience working with SEND in a secondary school
Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)
