What are we looking for: St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant, to support children with special educational needs. The successful candidate will be based at Woodfield Primary School. We are looking for a child-centred practitioner with: Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs. Experience of working with children who exhibit challenging and complex behaviours, and an understanding of child development and learning. Experience of working with children with communication, severe, profound or complex learning difficulties is highly desirable. Experience of working with children with special educational needs. Ability to support children with specific educational needs. Experience of supporting children in literacy and numeracy. Experience of how to motivate children. Proven successful experience of supporting the raising of standards in school. Wide experience of working with children, including those with special needs and the most able children. Proven experience of a range of positive behaviour management strategies. The ability to support, lead and inspire children. High expectations of children and a commitment to raising standards. Excellent interpersonal skills.
