Are you an experienced Credit Control professional with a passion for numbers and relationship management? Were recruiting a Credit Control Assistant to join a busy and growing finance team within a leading business based in Sevenoaks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid credit control experience who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced environment and is confident managing their own workload. Youll be responsible for supporting the credit control process from start to finish, ensuring accurate records, timely collections, and professional communication with clients.
Key Responsibilities Chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and letter within agreed timeframes
Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all chasing activity
Sending out client statements and credit control correspondence
Conducting credit checks for new customers
Liaising with the Sales Ledger Manager regarding reports and aged debt
Updating client information in Sage
Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
Requirements Previous experience working in a credit control or finance department (essential)
Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 (essential )
Strong Excel skills (e.g. PivotTables, VLOOKUPs)
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
A professional and respectful approach to customer contact
