We are seeking a Sister - Charge Nurse to join our Oncology department team.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week, with flexible shift coverage required.
Key Duties
1. Provide hands-on clinical care and support for complex or deteriorating patients.
2. Coordinate daily clinical activities, ensuring safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
3. Promote high standards of nursing practice through supervision, coaching, and role modelling.
4. Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
5. Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students.
6. Contribute to the induction and ongoing development of new staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.
Candidate Criteria
1. Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
2. Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
3. Experience leading and supervising a team in a clinical environment.
4. Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination skills.
5. Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
