Equans is looking for multiple Night Security Supervisors to join our team, working on the Southern Water contracts in BURHAM, Rochester, ME1 3YA on a permanent basis. This role involves working 42 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £29. per annum, along with an attractive benefits package. Shift Pattern:
4 on 4 off
Night shift 7pm - 7am
Candidates must have their own means of transport, such as a car, motorbike, or bicycle, as there is no public transport available near the site.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Supervisor to join our team, this crucial role involves maintaining high standards and ensuring the smooth operation for our facilities, you will manage our team of Security Officers. And will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access, conducting regular patrols (up to 10 km), responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, deterring criminal activities, and preventing unauthorized access.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise daily security operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with protocols.
2. Conduct security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
3. Act as the main point of contact for law enforcement, emergency services, and other stakeholders during incidents.
4. Train security personnel on protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices to maintain readiness.
5. Lead security operations, ensuring only authorised personnel access the site.
6. Respond swiftly to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring effective resolution.
7. Experience with access control and patrolling systems ie redetrack and other security technology,
8. Maintain situational awareness, addressing on-site security challenges proactively.
9. De-escalate conflicts professionally, resolving confrontational situations calmly.
10. Ensure compliance with security and safety protocols at all times.
11. Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry.
12. Operate and monitor security systems and access control software to detect potential risks.
13. Conduct regular foot patrols over varying terrain, covering distances of over 10 km per shift.
14. Communicate with members of the public as required, ensuring a courteous and professional approach.
Requirements:
15. A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) License.
16. Proven experience in a security role or a related field.
17. Managing a security team
18. First Aid Certification.
19. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
20. Experience with access control systems and other security technology.
21. Clear criminal background check.
22. Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts calmly and effectively.
23. Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
24. Basic computer literacy for logging reports and accessing security systems.
25. Advanced experience and comprehensive reporting.
26. The Security Supervisor should consistently seek improvements in security
27. processes and team efficiency.
28. Flexibility is required to manage security operations during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends.
