We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of multi-disciplined projects based out of our offices in Swadlincote.
Key Responsibilities
* Client collaboration to establish initial requirements, including site visits and surveys.
* Producing electrical schematics, cable block diagrams, PLC I/O schedules, cable schedules, and system architecture using AutoCAD where required.
* Specifying instrumentation and completing instrumentation and equipment schedules.
* Supporting feasibility / FEED studies.
* Managing and overseeing electrical installations on site.
* Undertaking electrical and instrumentation FAT, testing, and commissioning activities on site or at supplier’s premises.
* Compiling risk assessments and method statements to support the work undertaken.
* Supporting the estimating / quotation process by obtaining equipment & subcontractor quotations and ensuring quotes meet the required specifications.
* Procurement of equipment and services within the project budget.
* Attending client site meetings and internal project meetings.
* Visiting sites throughout the UK as required to support the project, which may involve overnight stays at critical points depending on location.
* Identifying and capturing project variations, compiling costs, identifying scope changes, and relaying information to the project manager.
* Managing and driving cost reduction and value engineering of projects.
* Working in accordance with client site and project specifications.
* Ensuring compliance with legislation BS7617:2018 Electrical specifications.
* Adhering to DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
Skills and Experiences
* Control panel experience required.
* Instrumentation setup experience required.
* Explosive atmosphere experience preferred.
* Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.
* Proficient in Word and Excel.
