The Role: As the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical design activities across the full product lifecycle — from concept through to manufacture. You’ll focus on enclosure design, mechanical layout, and packaging of electronic assemblies, ensuring that mechanical and PCB designs are seamlessly integrated.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical design and integration for PCB‑based electronic products.
* Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ProE, or similar CAD tools.
* Collaborate closely with electronics engineers to ensure mechanical layouts complement PCB design and component placement.
* Oversee design validation, prototyping, and mechanical testing.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
Ideal Candidate
* Strong background in mechanical design, ideally within the electronics or electromechanical sector.
* Proficiency with SolidWorks, ProE, or other 3D mechanical CAD software.
* Exposure to PCB design principles, layout, and packaging constraints.
* Experience designing multi‑layer assemblies and precision enclosures.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and a high attention to detail.
* Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Experience leading projects or mentoring less experienced engineers would be a distinct advantage.
