Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our prep unit to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to navigate routes effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
* Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
* Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential.
* Experience with warehouse operations is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
* Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
* A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required, along with a clean driving record.
