Major Projects Electrical Engineer (Temp-to-Perm)
Our client, a Tier One contractor, is currently recruiting for a Major Projects Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role offers an immediate start, with a hybrid working arrangement and offices based in Speke.
This position will support the delivery of large, complex construction projects, ensuring electrical designs are sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective from concept through to construction.

1. Rate: £30 - £35 per hour (CIS)
2. Contract: Temp-to-perm
3. Start: Immediate
4. Location: Speke (hybrid / WFH available)
5. Hours: 37.5 per week
The Role
As a Major Projects Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging client requirements with practical engineering solutions, while leading electrical design coordination and driving innovation across high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
6. Provide high-level technical expertise in electrical building services engineering
7. Support and contribute to project design meetings, establishing and agreeing design concepts
8. Deliver fully coordinated electrical design solutions through all project stages
9. Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure quality and consistency
10. Contribute to the development of engineering standards and best practices across the wider business
11. Drive innovation within M&E services, including implementation of initiatives such as BIM
12. Maintain regular communication with senior stakeholders regarding progress, risks, costs, and project output
13. Ensure adherence to quality procedures and document control standards
Requirements
14. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Building Services Engineering
15. Membership with Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers or Institution of Engineering and Technology
16. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
17. Strong experience within electrical building services design, particularly on large-scale projects
18. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wider business audience
19. Experience working with quality procedures and document control in engineering design
20. Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance
