Telent's Network Services division is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This is a great opportunity to join a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists who will support your growth and development as a Cloud Engineer, exposing you to challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will build and enhance relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - What you’ll do:
Deliverables include:
* Training internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assisting with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Maintaining awareness of customer incidents and reporting on nominated accounts.
* Highlighting trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Managing documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Adhering to processes regarding task allocation, completion, reporting, and change management.
* Assisting with Proof of Concept (PoC), Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Creating TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
* Performing peer reviews of technical documentation.
* Pre-staging equipment for customer site installations.
* Participating in customer meetings such as support reviews and incident reviews.
* Submitting accurate timesheets weekly.
* Linking certifications and training to business objectives.
* Completing overtime and expense reports accurately and timely.
* Following GDPR policies and protecting sensitive data.
* Reporting security incidents as per policies.
Cloud Engineer - Who you are:
The ideal candidate will be intrigued by Cloud technologies, with knowledge of Azure, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange, with support experience in a medium to large IT environment, and on-premise Cloud Services experience.
* VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
* MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
* Networking Concepts knowledge
* Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above, with clustering and availability groups
* Azure MFA and Identity Services
* Microsoft System Configuration Manager
* Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 or above
* VMware vCloud Director knowledge
* Leadership qualities
* Strong work ethic and pride in ownership
* Hands-on with relevant technology
* Collaborative relationship-building skills
