Would you relish the opportunity to lead institution-wide projects which enhance the University’s digital learning offering, for example introducing and developing AI and developing distance learning? The University of Bedfordshire is seeking a creative and skilled learning technologist to join our Digital Learning Team. The role is vital to transforming the digital learning experiences of both staff and students.

As part of the Digital Learning Team, you will develop colleagues’ digital pedagogy across the University to enhance our academic community’s digital learning experience – with everything from developing blended and distance learning, learning analytics, to developing the use of AI institution-wide. You will design and deliver tailored training, CPD, and curriculum consultancy to meet the diverse needs of academic schools, with a strong emphasis on impact, inclusion, and digital innovation.

We are looking for a new colleague who can bring:

1. A strong understanding of digital, distance and blended pedagogies in higher education
2. Practical experience with learning technologies, including VLEs and analytics
3. Confidence in delivering training and supporting curriculum design
4. An interest in the ethical and practical use of AI in education
5. A collaborative, adaptable, and student-focused approach
6. Experience from a relevant postgraduate qualification and experience in higher education
