Solicitor – Contract & Commercial Litigation – Bristol – PQE 2+
Location: Bristol (Hybrid or Fully Remote Options)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000
A national law firm is seeking a Contract & Commercial Litigation Solicitor or FCILEx to join its busy and supportive Contract Resolution Group within the Civil Litigation Division. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters in a collaborative environment that values flexibility, quality work and professional development.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters (excluding personal injury), including:
* Contract disputes arising from the sale of goods and services
* Commercial and consumer contract claims
* Misrepresentation
* Professional negligence
* Construction and building contract disputes
* Fast, intermediate and multi track matters
* Acting for both Claimants and Defendants
* Liaising with clients by phone and in person
* Progressing files using the firm's case management system
* Managing billing and invoicing
You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers and benefit from a supportive team culture focused on development and high quality service.
Candidate Requirements
* PQE experience in civil or commercial litigation
* Strong experience advising on contract based disputes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
* A pragmatic, solutions focused approach
* Confidence managing your own caseload
* IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
* Experience working with insurer funded clients (desirable)
Qualifications
* Solicitor (LLB/CILEx route), or
* FCILEx, or
* Equivalent experience
