Community Integrated Care is recruiting for Female Advanced Support Worker Specialist, with flexible Nights shift patterns of 39 hours per week, or part-time being a minimum of 24 hours.

You will need to be empathetic and build rapport, resilient, good communicator, fun with a sense of humour, creative and need to listen intently. You will also need to ooze energy, be physically fit as part of their support involves going to the gym, running, dancing, yoga and keeping fit with the person that you will be supporting. You will need to be be very understanding and of a nurturing nature, calm, and patient, with a 'Can Do' approach.

NVQ level 3 or above is desirable, however, for the right person we will provide specialist training in PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance).

You will support a young adult with learning disabilities and autism, who has other complex needs, to lead their best life possible.

About The Role

We’re building a specialist team to support a vibrant and talented young woman, B, who lives life to the fullest and wants a team that helps her do just that. You’ll be part of a close-knit group delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support based on Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) principles.

You’ll help B thrive by supporting her in the things she loves—drama, role play, singing, dancing, cooking, caring for her pets, and staying active at the gym. No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to bring joy, build trust, and make a lasting impact.

What B Is Looking For

B wants a team that is:

* Energetic and active - gym sessions are a regular part of her week
* Musical or artistic - singing, dancing, or playing an instrument is a big plus!

* Kind, patient, and emotionally attuned - you’ll need to pick up on subtle cues and respond with care

You must also be willing to take part in a recruitment assessment day. Assessment dates are scheduled throughout 2025 and all details will be confirmed for successful applicants.

Your Values

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, working with challenging behaviours, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have extensive experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
