Sterile Services Process Technician – Decontamination (Permanent Nights)
Stoke Hospital Sterile Services Unit (ST5-7UF) – Permanent, Full Time. Up to £25,800.00 per annum, 37.5 hours per week, nights +30% enhancement Monday to Friday 20:00pm – 04:00am.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. You will learn how to dismantle, prepare, and sterilise reusable medical instruments for use in our Nuffield Hospitals and contribute to the delivery of high quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Dismantle, prepare and sterilise medical instruments ready for theatre surgery.
* Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard.
* Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
* Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults.
* Work with a strong, friendly team.
* Take on training as required.
* Be computer literate.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
* Take action to resolve any problems.
* Escalate issues where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures.
* Handle manual handling duties up to 13kg.
Requirements
Organised with good communication skills. Evidence of sterile services training is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver high quality service.
