Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 + Package
Hill McGlynn is delighted to be partnering with a reputable and expanding fit out contractor to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their Whitstable office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within the fit out sector, working on a range of fast-paced and high-quality retail projects. You will gain hands-on experience and be supported by a knowledgeable commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the commercial management of fit out projects from inception to completion
* Supporting the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documents
* Assisting with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
* Monitoring project costs, variations, and reporting
* Supporting valuations and final account processes
* Liaising with site teams, suppliers, and clients
* Maintaining accurate commercial records
Requirements:
* Some experience in a Quantity Surveying role or relevant placement within construction
* Exposure to fit out projects is advantageous, particularly within the retail sector
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Eagerness to learn and progress within a commercial role
* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction (or working towards)
