Job Description
Hays are now looking for an SC Cleared Test Analyst for one of our local clients:
* Up to £350 p/d Inside IR35
* 1-2 days a week onsite, the rest is WFH
* Location is Cardiff
* Must already hold SC Clearance
In the role you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of digital services. Working within an agile, multidisciplinary team, you'll focus on manual and exploratory testing to support user-centred, secure, and high-quality systems.What you'll be doing
* Designing and executing manual test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria
* Carrying out functional, exploratory, and regression testing
* Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and release readiness
* Identifying, recording, and tracking defects with clear evidence and impact
* Testing for accessibility, usability, compatibility, and basic security risks
* Collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and delivery managers
* Contributing to test documentation, test plans, and continuous quality improvements
What we're looking for
* Candidates must hold current SC Clearance
* Proven experience in a manual testing or test analyst role
* Strong skills in test design, execution, and exploratory testing
* Experience working in an agile delivery environment
* Ability to clearly communicate defects and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience supporting UAT or production releases
* Good understanding of accessibility and usability principles
* High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
