Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic FOH staff (waiter/waitress/bartender) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. As we require you to handle alcohol, please, before you apply, understand that you legally need to be over 18 in order to be considered for the role.
Shifts may vary according to our lunch (12pm to 3pm) or dinner service (6 pm to 10/11pm), Wednesday to Saturday, Sunday shift is 12pm to 5/6pm, mandatory with a break and a roast.
Monday and Tuesday, the pub is closed.
Experience is preferred.
Duties
 * Prepare and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and coffees according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
 * Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and serving drinks in a timely manner.
 * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. The role isn't confined or limited to the bar area, but also to the dining room.
 * Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible serving practices.
 * Manage inventory by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
 * Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper change is given.
 * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
 * Demonstrate strong time management skills to efficiently serve multiple customers.
Qualifications
 * Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with the fast-paced environment.
 * Strong hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
 * Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices.
 * Knowledge of food safety regulations to ensure compliance in all aspects of service.
 * Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
 * A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills, enabling you to interact positively with customers and colleagues alike.
Job Types: Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £7.55-£12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
