Travis Baker part of RSK Group are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. Travis Baker has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years’ experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects. Our engineers typically evaluate the land use constraints in support of the site acquisition and planning process. In this role, you will have exposure to a variety of different projects in an environment that encourages professional development wherever possible. Responsibilities: Prepare infrastructure drawings and design using AutoCAD and other proprietary design software. Provide a single point of contact on designated projects. Undertake negotiations with Local and Drainage Authority Engineers on design for adoptable works (Section 104, Section 38 and Section 278). Understand and implement designs on private areas to comply with current Codes of Practice. Understand and appreciate the role of the other members of the design team (Architect, M&E Engineer, Client etc). Qualifications and Experience: Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Practical understanding of civil engineering principles. 5-10 years experience in a similar role within Consultancy Educated to degree or HNC level. Chartered or Incorporated member of the Institution of Civil Engineers preferable but not essential. Ability to manage a team of Engineers and Technicians and mentor junior members of staff.
