We're looking for an experienced and confident Payroll Manager to join a well-established business in Derbyshire. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in running a smooth and accurate payroll, and wants to be a trusted expert within the business.
What You'll Be Doing
* Running the end-to-end payroll process (weekly and monthly) for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Supporting, guiding, and working closely with a dedicated payroll team.
* Acting as the go-to person for payroll queries and advice across the business.
* Working with SAP to maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
* Liaising with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
* Leading on small projects to improve processes and implement updates when needed.
* Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and making sure everything stays compliant.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a payroll management role
* Comfortable working independently and managing a regular payroll cycle.
* Good working knowledge of
SAP payroll systems
(essential).
* Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, pensions, and statutory processes.
* A friendly, approachable attitude and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels.
* Organised, detail-focused, and happy taking ownership.
Nice to Have
* CIPP qualification or similar
* Experience working with unionised or multi-site teams
