Eligibility & Application Notes
Only applicants who are currently training in or have completed an EMHP/CWP course may apply. Candidates awaiting registration are welcome. Those yet to secure registration will be offered a fixed‑term (3‑month) contract at Band 4, while those already registered with a recognised professional body will be considered for a Band 5 role.
Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence‑based early interventions using a Low‑Intensity CBT approach to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs in schools and colleges.
* Facilitate whole‑school mental health approaches and ensure timely access to support.
* Assess need, manage risk, maintain high‑quality clinical records and provide robust clinical supervision.
* Build positive relationships with school staff, external agencies and families, employing strong communication and safeguarding skills.
* Adapt and organise workload in a busy educational setting, with regular travel across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Qualifications & Skills
* Completed a CYP‑IAPT accredited programme.
* Valid registration with the appropriate psychological professional body (or evidence of completion of the course).
* Experience delivering evidence‑based interventions to children, young people and families.
* Strong communication, resilience, adaptability and confidence to work within multidisciplinary teams.
* Positive organisational skills and ability to build trust with school staff and external agencies.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car during work.
