Learning and Development Officer – Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service
Learning and Development Officer, 37 hours per week (requests for part-time working will be considered), Fixed Term (12 Months), Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service Joint Headquarters, Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, Nottingham.

That’s where you come in! We are looking for a Learning and Development Officer to be at the heart of shaping how we train and develop our teams. From designing leadership programmes to supporting individuals with their professional growth, the work will make a real difference to our employees!
The role of Learning and Development Officer is extremely diverse and will give the opportunity for the post holder to work across the county of Nottinghamshire at different fire stations and events.
The post is based at our Joint Headquarters, however, the successful candidate can utilise any of our fire stations as their work location when their schedules allow.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support employees to identify professional, vocational and leadership development needs across the Service.
* Design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning and leadership development programmes.
* Provide expert feedback using diagnostic tools.
* Lead and coordinate coaching programmes.
* Produce reports on the impact of learning initiatives.
* Act as a Programme Lead and Trainer for leadership and management programmes.
* Provide professional advice and coaching to support learning objectives.
Experience/Qualification:
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management, Coaching and Mentoring or equivalent professional experience.
* Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
* Driving licence to allow the post holder to travel around the county (adjustments can be made for disabled candidates).
* Experience in designing and delivery leadership and management initiatives.
* Skilled facilitator and coach.
* Experience in managing developmental programmes and interventions.
* Able to evaluate learning and provide continuous improvement.
* Experienced communicator.
* Knowledge of learning and development theories and their practical application.
