Overview
Field IT Service Engineer role at TieTalent. Field-based position located in Willenhall, West Midlands, covering the South Wales area. Salary: Competitive. Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm, plus weekend on a rota; 40 hours per week (part‑time option available). Company van and equipment supplied.
Responsibilities
* Install new EPOS hardware, including data cabling where appropriate
* Install and deploy systems using correct and documented procedures
* Provide EPOS operational standards advice via telephone, modem, best practice and/or training
* Ensure personal availability at all times within defined territory(s)
* Maintain adequate spares availability at all times within defined territory(s)
* Ensure that all aspects of the build and repair process are followed at all times
* Ensure all areas of the repair centre and vehicles are clean and in a workable state at all times
* Compliance that all deployed/repaired systems are asset tracked and assigned to the correct customer
* Ensure non‑EPOS PC‑based ordering systems are supported and available at all times
* Support the Helpdesk team as required
* General administration duties
* Communicate observations of future potential issues which may arise from any IT system
Qualifications
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills
* An Electrical qualification is preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of structured data cabling is preferred
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
* IT fault finding experience/skills (essential)
