I am an elderly gentleman living at home in West Linton. I require some additional support to the care I already have in place. I need one or two Personal Assistants to support me each evening at bedtime and also with 4 x daily visits over the weekend.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Morning (45 minutes)
* Please come and prompt me to have a shower or a wash, ensuring I am safe and then supported to thoroughly dry and dress afterwards.
* Please provide catheter care and support, if required.
* Please support me with preparing my breakfast and a drink of choice.
* Finally, please ensure I have taken my medication.
Lunch (30 minutes)
* Please provide catheter care, if required.
* Please support me with preparing my lunch and a drink of choice.
* Finally, please ensure I have taken my medication.
Teatime (30 minutes)
* Please provide catheter care, if required.
* Please support me with preparing my main meal and drink of choice.
* Finally, please ensure I have taken my medication.
Bedtime (30 minutes)
* Please come in to support me with getting ready for bed.
* Please provide catheter care, if required.
* Please ensure I have everything I need to hand for overnight.
Hours of work
* Bedtime visits are required Monday to Sunday and ideal visit time is around 9pm, but can be flexible.
* Morning, lunch and teatime visits can be flexible on time.
Personal attributes
* Someone who is kind, with a genuine caring nature.
* Someone who is reliable and trustworthy.
* PVG required.
The terms
* £13.50 per hour.
* 5.6 weeks annual leave, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
