Responsibilities of the Night Nurse (RGN/RMN):
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for residents, in line with best practices and company policies.
- Administer medication safely and accurately, maintaining detailed records.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' conditions, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide emotional and social support to residents and their families.
- Supervise and mentor care assistants, promoting a team-oriented environment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, maintaining high levels of clinical governance.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a care home environment.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of elderly care, including dementia care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and cover for colleagues when needed.
