Performs independently transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) using manual dexterity and precision, exercising specialist judgment when acquiring images. Produces full, accurate, and comprehensive clinical reports for each study, directly impacting patient care and management. Responsible for own caseload.
Along with the other Band 7 Physiologist, holds operational responsibility for the department on a day-to-day basis. This includes managing a clinical workload (performing and/or reporting on all non-invasive tests) as well as supervising and managing staff.
Leads staff development and training as required. Conducts appraisals with colleagues, initiates and participates in clinical audits to improve service quality, and develops competence in clinical supervision within Electrocardiography.

The role involves performing 12 Lead Electrocardiograms when necessary and acting as a clinical supervisor where needed.
