Equans is looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract on a fixed‑term 12‑month basis. You will be based from Dartford County Court covering sites in the surrounding area.
What you will deliver
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, doors (including fire doors), windows, furniture, and more.
* Inspect and clear drainage systems; unblock toilets and sinks.
* Replace luminaries and carry out painting, decorating, and installing signage.
* Provide general site upkeep including sweeping and tidying.
* Support client and Equans teams with moves, changes, and ad‑hoc tasks.
* Proactively highlight areas for improvement and ensure consumables and parts are available.
* Complete all required documentation, including CAFM paperwork, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Monitor and supervise subcontractors on site.
* Maintain clean and safe plant rooms and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
* Provide holiday and sickness cover flexibly, including lone working after training.
* Respond effectively to emergencies to ensure business continuity.

Who we’re looking for
* Suitable experience working in a demanding, similar role.
* Demonstrable skills in at least one of the following trades: carpentry, painting, plumbing, or flooring within construction, repair, or maintenance environments.
* Good knowledge of fire door maintenance and inspection techniques.
* Understanding of Legionella control methods such as tap flushing.
* NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in plumbing, carpentry, or decorating services.
* Will obtain and maintain security vetting, including a criminal records check.
