Delivering electrical building services projects from Barnsley, Leeds and/or Sheffield - Yorkshire, for a national mechanical & electrical contractor with a reputation for quality and attention to detail. Responsibilities
* Develop system specifications and prepare construction drawings and documentation, plant and equipment schedules for electrical systems.
* Prepare technical submissions and manage RFI communications with project managers.
* Place orders with suppliers and sub-contractors; coordinate works including subcontractors.
* Manage contract costs from inception to final account, including preparing and agreeing monthly applications for payment.
* Track project costs (labour and materials) and provide forecasts; manage variations and additional works with associated costs.
* Conduct site visits and inspections; attend client and subcontractor meetings; resolve problems during construction.
* Organise commissioning and start-up of new systems; prepare operating and maintenance literature; provide technical support and training to clients.
Qualifications
* Experience in the Building Services sector as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Contracts Manager, Electrical Site Manager, MEP Manager or E&M Manager.
* Industry-recognised electrical qualification.
* Specific experience on high-value mechanical building service projects (£10m+).
