Job Overview
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work within an experienced, innovative team in speciality palliative care? The Specialist Palliative Care Directorate in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board seeks an experienced, compassionate Specialty Doctor to work at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital.
The Palliative Care Directorate is based within the Primary Care and Community Division, providing care across Gwent.
Under supervision of Palliative Medicine Consultants, the successful candidate will provide effective medical care for palliative patients within Aneurin Bevan Hospitals and inpatient units.
Working hours are planned between 8:00 and 18:30, with on-site work from 9am to 5pm, and potential off-site on-call coverage between 8-9am and 5-6.30pm. The proposed job plan is attached but flexible.
Main Duties
* Ensure the provision of high-quality clinical service
* Provide effective leadership to staff in the specialty
* Sustain and develop teaching and research activities where appropriate
* Adhere to the Health Board's procedures and policies
* Conduct clinical work according to contractual and service plan parameters
* Support business plans and development strategies for the specialty, division, and health board
