The role
We are working with a large, community-focused secondary school with a sixth form to recruit a Pastoral Mentor. The school has a clear focus on high expectations, mutual respect, and student development, with structured pastoral systems in place to support pupils effectively.
This role involves working closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, attendance, emotional regulation, or engagement, helping them succeed both academically and personally.

£110 – £130 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

Key responsibilities
6. Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring support
7. Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
8. Work closely with Heads of Year, SEN staff, and safeguarding leads
9. Support attendance improvement and reintegration plans
10. Act as a consistent, trusted adult within the school community
The ideal candidate
11. Experience in pastoral care, mentoring, youth work, or similar roles
12. Confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
13. Calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
14. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
15. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
