Role purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented and control mindedFinancial Analyst to join our growing Finance and Treasury team. Thisrole needs someone who is a self-starter and self-finisher, who excelsin taking a task and fully developing it into insight, withaccompanying reports and presentations. You’ll monitor financialperformance of the Bank and reporting financial information andpartner other members of the business by supporting the budgetingprocesses and contribute to a culture which values data by processingdata assets accurately, and in accordance our policy and procedures.
As Finance Analyst you will findyourself:
* Assist in the financial record-keepingof the Bank and contribute to the month end production processincluding journals, VAT, accruals and prepayments
* Performbalance sheet and account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy offinancial records
* Assist the accounts receivable and accountspayable process but also help to evolve the purchase to pay processesof the Bank
* Assisting the treasury operations to managepayment processes
* Assist in the preparation of financialreporting, comparing achieved results with financial plans andidentifying variances and communicating insights
* Analysingfinancial results and identifying trends to help improve the Bank’sfinancial performance, and partnering with the wider businessstakeholders
* Developing automated accounting processes tohelp increase productivity and business efficiency
* Assistwith the annual external financial audit process
* Handlemiscellaneous financial administration tasks as they arise, providingflexible support to the finance team
Skills and experience - you are/will have most of thefollowing:
* A relevant qualification in finance,accounting, or a related field. Ideally part qualified at a CIMA /ACCA or equivalent level of qualification.
* Experience infinancial planning, analysis, modelling and management accounting
* The ability to present financial information to anon-financial audience
* Strong organisational and multitaskingskills
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, andpresentation skills
* Detail-oriented and able to perform in ahigh-pressure environment
* Strong analytical thinking andproblem-solving skills
* Positive attitude and strong workethic
* Experienced user of Excel, able to use formulae tobuild reports and return accurate results from an underlying dataset
* Great working knowledge of Accounting Software, Power Pointand Word
* Experience of providing future insights into anypotential opportunities/risks through interaction with the business
* Experience of supporting monthly reporting production,validation and reviews
* Ensure all data assets are processedaccurately and in accordance with legislation and that all mandatedtraining is completed within the allotted timeframes
