We are looking for a reliable and safety‑focused Site Operator to join our Brenntag team in Scunthorpe. This is a hands‑on role supporting the safe handling, filling, storage, and movement of chemical products across our warehouse and yard operations. Full PPE, protective suits and training are provided. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Site Operator, your responsibilities will include: Chemical Handling & Storage Safely handling, filling and storing chemical products in line with legislation, site procedures, and compliance requirements Filling IBCs using automated filling stations (full PPE supplied) Carrying out chemical filling tasks as required Warehouse & Yard Operations Picking and checking vehicle loads against customer orders Loading vehicles and ensuring safe dispatch following operational procedures Building customer orders (manual handling and forklift work) Supporting the safe and efficient running of the yard and warehouse Performing general manual handling and yard duties Loading and unloading IDN trailers, and putting stock away into the warehouse Bulk Handling Offloading tankers into bulk tanks or IBCs, following strict safety procedures General Duties Carrying out any reasonable tasks assigned by your line manager that support the efficient running of the site and fall within your skill set Working flexibly across warehouse and operational activities, which may include mixing, blending, filling or forklift operations as needed Skills & Experience We’re Looking For: Manual handling experience FLT licence/experience (counterbalance or reach) Understanding of REACH regulations (beneficial) Experience working in a distribution, depot or warehouse environment Experience working with chemicals (desirable, but not essential) Why Join Brenntag?
