Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and early education. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development and sharing this information with parents and colleagues.
* Communicate effectively with children, using appropriate language and techniques to support their understanding and encourage their participation.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth flow of activities throughout the day.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team environment that promotes professional growth and development.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring that all resources are safe, accessible, and suitable for children's use.
Skills
* Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Leadership qualities to guide and support less experienced staff members while fostering a collaborative team spirit.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of care.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
* A genuine drive to inspire children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning through creative play-based activities.
