We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor Goods Out to support in the running of the warehouse operation with direct responsibility for the Goods Out operation of the distribution centre based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. You will provide direction, leadership, and management for serving as the department head for Outbound Operations, collaborating with leaders across the organisation to meet distribution and customer expectations. This role is very hands-on, working very closely with the team on the shop floor rather than being heavily office based. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES You’ll deliver short and long-term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve: • Managing a fixed shift operation of approximately 35 staff with 3 direct reports, with a monthly throughput of 66,000 lines. • Ensuring that product is picked, checked, and shipped according to established standards and in accordance with current procedures. • Ensuring productivity and quality standards at met. • Ensuring team members have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their jobs. • Taking the lead in developing the Goods Out Team for the benefit of both the individual and the business in line with business needs and objectives. • Taking responsibility and accountability for resolving all Goods Out issues with escalation to senior management as required. • Taking a collective responsibility in promoting a collaborative approach in delivery of our goals. • Following up on absence management, return to works, accident investigations, continuous improvement plans, employee 1-2-1s and annual reviews. HOW TO SUCCEED We’re looking for a hands-on People Leader who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems.
