About Lyles House
Lyles House is a residential care home in Hindolveston, near Dereham, Norfolk. We provide person-centred residential care for elderly adults, including those living with dementia, across the area and surrounding villages. We are a small, close-knit team and we take enormous pride in the quality of care we deliver — and in the working environment we create for our staff.

Contract Details
* Contract: Full‑time & Part‑time positions available
* Shift Pattern: Days or Nights, including alternate weekends
* Pay Rate: £12.80 – £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
* Experience: Previous care experience desirable but not essential
* DBS: Enhanced DBS required (we will support the cost)
What You Will Be Doing
* Supporting residents with all aspects of personal care — washing, dressing, personal hygiene — with compassion and respect for their dignity and individuality
* Assisting residents at mealtimes, being mindful of dietary requirements, swallowing difficulties and nutritional needs
* Providing emotional support, companionship and meaningful conversation — helping residents stay connected to the activities and people they love
* Carrying out regular checks on residents and promptly reporting any changes in condition to the Senior Carer or Nurse on shift
* Completing daily care records accurately, including progress notes, food and fluid charts and repositioning records
* Supporting residents in their day‑to‑day comfort and routine, including accompanying them on social outings and healthcare appointments
* Working as part of a close‑knit team under the guidance of Senior Carers and the Registered Manager
* Maintaining confidentiality and upholding the home’s safeguarding, infection control and health and safety standards at all times
What We Are Looking For
* A caring, patient and empathetic nature — the desire to make a real difference to someone’s daily life is what matters most
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal — ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
* Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to the residents and team you work with
* Previous experience in a care home, domiciliary care or healthcare setting is desirable but full training will be provided
* Ability to follow care plans and instructions, and to elevate concerns appropriately
* Comfortable using or learning electronic care planning systems (training provided)
