Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will analyse existing on-premise environments and design cloud-native architectures that enable secure, scalable, and cost-effective transformation. You will take ownership of shaping target-state designs, guiding migration strategies, and supporting delivery to ensure solutions meet technical, operational, and business objectives. Working closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders, you will influence decisions, balance trade-offs, and help teams move confidently towards modern cloud platforms, while being supported by experienced peers and a collaborative culture.
You will contribute across the full lifecycle, from discovery and planning through to migration execution and optimisation, helping clients realise tangible value from cloud adoption.
Key responsibilities include:
> Analyse & Assess existing on-premise infrastructure, applications, and dependencies
> Design & Architect cloud-native solutions aligned to best practices
> Plan & Deliver migration roadmaps, sequencing, and execution support
> Secure & Optimise cloud environments for resilience, performance, and cost
> Collaborate & Influence technical stakeholders across multiple disciplines
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You will bring strong experience across on-premise and cloud environments, with the ability to design, communicate, and deliver robust cloud architectures. You should be comfortable working with diverse technical teams, translating complex concepts into clear decisions, and taking ownership of outcomes while continually developing your skills.
You should have:
> Strong experience with on-premise infrastructure (VMware, physical servers, networking, storage)
> Proven experience designing and delivering cloud architectures
> Deep understanding of core cloud services, networking, and security
> Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
> Experience explaining architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs
Desirable:
> Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies
> Infrastructure as Code experience using industry-standard tools
> Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
> Relevant cloud or platform certifications
