Job Description:
Permanent, Full time, 37 hrs a week including approximately 1 in 4 weekends.
Mixed Shift Patterns: 7am-3pm, 11am-7pm, 9.30am-5.30pm.
Full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle required.
Our client is a not-for-profit housing association based in Luton. We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join their team.
Purpose:
As an Assistant Resident Coach, you will support residents alongside Resident Coaches to achieve positive outcomes, using psychologically informed approaches to provide flexible and adaptive services.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive support to residents.
* Employ psychologically informed, person-centred coaching techniques.
* Collaborate with the Resident Coaching Team to ensure consistent, positive service delivery.
* Assess new residents, develop support and risk management plans.
* Maintain daily records of support activities and update internal systems accordingly.
* Liaise with professionals such as social workers, solicitors, translators, police, and education providers.
* Conduct daily coaching sessions.
* Manage your caseload, organize coaching sessions, attend meetings, make referrals, and support residents.
* Think creatively to deliver effective support.
* Assist with benefit claims and personal contribution charges.
* Help residents develop independent living skills for successful community integration.
* Participate in reflective practice sessions.
* Recognize challenging situations and support colleagues to foster positive changes.
* Inform residents of their rights and involve them in service improvements.
* Attend networking and partnership meetings with external organizations.
* Follow all policies and procedures, including health and safety, fairness, lone working, SOVA, and child protection, reporting concerns as required.
* Undertake DBS checks every 3 years and update your manager on any changes.
