The Role: As Lead Project Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, specifying and pricing technically robust solutions in response to client enquiries. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered accurately, commercially and on schedule, while also leading and mentoring a team of Design Engineers. You will collaborate closely with internal structural engineers, project teams and customers to ensure seamless project handover and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate, competitive and detailed technical schedules Produce cost variations to support live projects Follow up on quotations to build and maintain strong client relationships Provide basic structural calculations in line with current standards Lead detailed handovers to the project team upon order confirmation Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management to Design Engineers Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team output Attend client offices and sites when required to resolve technical issues and strengthen relationships Deliver product presentations and technical training sessions Maintain strong commercial awareness and contribute to business targets Person Requirements: Several years experience in a construction, structural, estimating or technical design role Proven leadership and team management capability Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret construction drawings confidently Solid understanding of the construction process and relevant regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience using Bluebeam and AutoCAD (Tekla advantageous) Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Organised, commercially aware and ambitious Whats On Offer: 32 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), increasing with service Option to sell or carry over holidays Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Health Cash Plan Employee Assistance Programme Life Assurance Long service awards Staff rewards and discount platform Clear career progression within a fast-growing and innovative company
