Head of Hospitality - Grappenhall Manor Care Centre

Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. We provide residential, nursing, and dementia care, prioritizing safety, comfort, and quality of life for our residents. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on a permanent staff team, avoiding agency staff for over 4 years to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents trust. All staff are paid the national living wage or above.

We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. You will be responsible for organizing the Hospitality and Care Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our residents. Your duties include overseeing dining room preparation, cleanliness, meal service, and team management, including rotas, training, and supervision. The role offers a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekend working.


Role Responsibilities:

* Ensure high standards of hospitality service are maintained.
* Support and assist visitors.
* Inform the Chef of any individual resident requirements.
* Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as per HACCP standards.
* Adhere to all training and ensure proper documentation of records and reports, including cleaning schedules, worksheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
* Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to deliver quality care during shifts.
* Coach staff and participate in ongoing staff development.
* Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.


Skills and Experience Required:

* Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
* Experience working in a care setting is desirable.
* Effective communication skills are essential.
* Participation in activities organized in the home is required.
