Salary: £25,989 - £28,142 per annum (Actual starting salary: £19,548)
Hours: 32 hours and 30 minutes per week (8:15 – 3:15 Monday to Friday, including a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break); 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days)
Start Date: As soon as possible (expires 4th February 2026)
Role Overview
The Castle School requires an ambitious and dedicated Attendance Officer to support students in achieving their full academic potential by promoting excellent attendance. This role is based in the heart of the school in the Pastoral Hub and involves daily interaction with staff and students.
Responsibilities
* Support students to achieve academic potential by promoting excellent attendance.
* Communicate daily with staff and students, maintaining attendance records.
* Provide guidance and recommendations to students and parents regarding attendance issues.
* Collaborate with the pastoral team to address attendance concerns.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Friendly and helpful manner, well‑organised with strong attention to detail.
* Experience working in a busy office or school environment is desirable.

Additional Requirements
