Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgery and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
* Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.
* Handle patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
* Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up to date and confidential.
* Process patient forms and insurance documentation accurately.
* Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs.
* Process repeat prescription.
* Register new patients
* Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring it is welcoming for all visitors.

Experience
* Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Administrative experience is highly desirable, demonstrating proficiency in managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems is an advantage but not mandatory as training will be provided.
