We are recruiting a Damage Administrator to join our client’s busy automotive operation in Upper Heyford. This role would suit someone with administrative experience in a bodyshop, workshop, automotive or logistics environment, who is confident using a PC, handling data accurately and communicating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
You will play a key role in processing damage claims, supporting the technical and bodyshop teams, and ensuring accurate, well-maintained records across multiple systems.
The Role
1. Managing and processing transit damage claims within agreed timescales
2. Liaising with carriers, suppliers and internal departments regarding damage, delays and resolutions
3. Raising job cards and ensuring all displaced items are returned within required timeframes
4. Supporting the bodyshop and technical teams with accurate documentation
5. Inputting claims into internal and external systems
6. Maintaining accurate manual and electronic filing in line with company standards
7. Producing reports, monitoring KPIs and highlighting issues or improvements
8. Ensuring data accuracy across systems and spreadsheets
9. Carrying out general administrative and ad-hoc duties as required
About You
10. Previous administration experience within a bodyshop, workshop, automotive, logistics or technical environment (essential)
11. Highly proficient with a PC, including confident use of Microsoft Office and Excel
12. Comfortable using common PC shortcuts and working efficiently across multiple systems
13. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills
15. Good problem-solving ability with a proactive approach
16. Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
17. Works well independently and as part of a wider team
