The role
We are currently recruiting for a project manager to join our regional Construction business as part of our DEOP team. DEOP (Defence Estate Optimisation Programme) is a multi billion government major programme of works to rationalise the Defence Estate across the UK. Lendlease have been awarded five DEOP projects all based in the West Midlands region. The project sites are located in Bicester, Gloucester, Stafford, Leicestershire and Cirencester.
What will you do?
1. Provide support and leadership in the creation of skills, well-being to contribute to a supportive team working environment
2. Manage the project delivery within a timely manner ensure the maximum outcomes for the client and Lendlease.
3. Ensure quality is at a consistently high level and pro-actively identify quality issues. • Review all costs and controls.
4. Accountable for the implementation and compliance with all Lendlease safety requirements across staff, contractors and work practices ensuring appropriate records are maintained and required reports are available.
5. Recognise and reward safe behaviours and practices.
6. Review the EHS plans and regularly review lessons learnt.
7. Review the project sustainability objectives and targets ensuring compliance with Lendlease standards and local regulatory requirements.
8. Review and update Project Execution Plans
9. Ensure project reporting is undertaken internally and externally in line with programme and company requirements
10. Chair and participate in project meetings as required both internally and externally.
11. Build and maintain external relationships ( clients, contractors/subcontracts) to increase networks and support personal development.

13. Expert knowledge of construction industry
14. Strategic thinking and visionary
15. Develop and maintain relationships with trust and confidence
16. Understanding of programme duration and sequencing of works of relevant aspects of construction
17. Experienced with and capable of being part of a bid team and undertaking pre-construction planning
18. Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and lead the construction delivery team and construction workforce
19. Demonstrate an ability to be flexible in recognising where working methods require adapting and changing to suit a change in project needs or new challenges
20. Demonstrate an ability to ensure delivery of work packages and in places betterment of commercial target
