One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, is looking for an experienced and adaptable individual to join our Support team, as part of Booth House Lifehouse Service in Swindon.
This is a housing support position and does not involve any personal care services.
The post is an 18 month apprenticeship and the successful candidate will be enrolled on the Homelessness Pathway Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship (England) course which runs over 18 months.
The aim of Booth House is to provide a better overall experience of living in temporary accommodation for homeless people in the Swindon area, supporting our service users to improve their wellbeing and build on their future move-on opportunities.
Booth House supports up to 50 people who require temporary accommodation for many different reasons. Support will initially begin at the point of referral from the council's homelessness services and then work with our residents to develop an appropriate housing pathway for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To work as part of a team taking shared responsibility for delivering our programme of holistic and tenancy focused support to single people living in temporary accommodation in our Lifehouse in Swindon.
2. As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker you will be responsible for assisting with delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.
3. You will address clients support needs, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.
