About the Role
We are seeking a Platform Engineering Specialist to join our Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Platform team. You will play a key role in designing, building, testing, and scaling services within the IDAM Platform, ensuring seamless delivery of IT services. This is a hands-on technical role, collaborating closely with architects, product/platform teams, security, and network specialists to deliver stable, high-performing, and secure platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure for the IDAM Platform
2. Oversee platform upgrades, version updates, and patch deployments
3. Ensure all deliverables are well-documented, reusable, and tested to high standards
4. Automate tasks and processes to improve platform reliability and efficiency
5. Provide technical expertise for maintenance, support, and troubleshooting
6. Implement and evaluate automation tools and technologies
7. Collaborate on disaster recovery planning and execution
8. Ensure security and compliance by design, working with the InfoSec team
9. Contribute to technology evaluation, selection, and continuous improvement
10. Support the creation and execution of automation strategies for I&O Platforms
What We’re Looking For
11. Extensive experience in an Identity or Security team
12. Strong background in designing scalable and reliable technology platforms
13. Demonstrable experience managing infrastructure components (servers, cloud, databases, security systems, etc.)
14. Proficiency in IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL
15. Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
16. Strong scripting skills (PowerShell essential; Terraform, Python, C#, VBScript advantageous)
17. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
18. Knowledge of containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless platforms
19. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and negotiation skills
20. Experience managing third-party suppliers
