About the Role
As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in leading a culinary team to deliver nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals that promote residents' well-being within budget. Your responsibilities include:
1. Preparing modified diets that are appealing and compliant with IDDSI guidelines.
2. Supervising culinary staff and providing training on food preparation activities.
3. Ensuring all food handling meets hygiene standards for safety.
4. Supporting team members in understanding Avery’s Food Safety Management System.
About You
We seek candidates who embody our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. The ideal candidate will:
1. Hold relevant catering qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent).
2. Have at least 1 year of catering experience.
3. Demonstrate compassion and a commitment to high-quality culinary service.
4. Be adaptable and flexible to handle various responsibilities on short notice.
