Orion is seeking a highly experienced, proactive and forward thinkingMechanical Design Engineerto join a dynamic engineering team within an innovative manufacturing business based in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise and collaboration across multiple departments.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop flow control products (valves, actuators, manifolds)
2. Perform detailed engineering analyses (calculations, test plans, qualification plans) for performance and reliability
3. Review external validation data (FEA, CFD, physical test results)
4. Ensure compliance with industry and government standards for quality and safety
5. Manage end-to-end engineering process from concept through manufacture, assembly, and test
