Associate, O-CEO & Strategic Initiatives – Thomson Reuters Foundation
We are seeking an Associate to maximize the effectiveness of the CEO and senior leadership by combining high‑quality executive support with analytical insight and delivery discipline across priority initiatives.
About the Role
This Business Analyst role will maintain a constant finger on the pulse of our internal and external operating environment, translating insights into meaningful action. Reporting to the Foundation’s Chief of Staff & Strategic Initiatives, the Associate will work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
CEO Support, Leadership Enablement and Governance
* Acts as the Executive Assistant to the CEO: Owns the CEO’s calendar and inbox, flags issues, provides solutions, and ensures engagements align with organisational objectives. Anticipates needs, briefs on the CEO’s role, conducts calendar audits, assesses productivity and identifies improvement areas.
* Manages corporate governance and leadership support: Handles board meeting agendas, coordinates board papers, and maintains relationships with Trustees and Directors.
* Organises and manages Leadership Meetings: Plans meetings, sets agendas, tracks actions, and ensures owners are accountable.
* Provides diary management, logistical and administrative support: Optimises the CEO’s time, supports the Office of the CEO & Strategic Initiatives, CFO and Director of Business Development, manages expenses and handles additional logistical matters.
Strategic Insight, Executive Positioning and Project Management
* Business Analysis: Offers regular competitor and stakeholder insights, horizons scanning for key opportunities, and manages projects of key internal and external initiatives, coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders.
* Business Development Alignment: Strengthens alignment between CEO priorities, business development activity and the Foundation’s external positioning.
* Executive Communications Support: Collects and develops Foundation materials (presentations, spreadsheets, data visualisations), assists in research and intelligence gathering, horizon scans for speaking opportunities, and supports internal and external communications.
* Event Logistics and Execution: Project‑manages quarterly Town Hall logistics, coordinates Foundation Awards, organizes End of Year Events and other organisational events, supporting external events and speaking engagements with CEO‑level engagement.

* Comfortable blending traditional executive support with strategic and analytical responsibilities.
* Solid business acumen, strong analytical skills and administrative excellence.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills; can translate complex ideas into actionable insights.
* Demonstrates initiative and takes responsibility for projects and activities.
* Resilient under pressure, confident to work with senior stakeholders, and able to use judgement and discretion.
* Knowledgeable of operational dynamics, can prioritise interactions to maximise time and efficiency.
