As a Health & Safety Consultant, your role will include:
* Providing practical and professional Health & Safety advice across diverse client portfolios
* Developing and implementing tailored Health & Safety strategies for legal compliance
* Supporting clients in building robust processes, procedures, and safe systems of work
* Delivering ISO management standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, via consultancy, audits and training
* Building strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and provide expert solutions
* Collaborating with colleagues to share insight, knowledge and approaches
* Supporting wider business development efforts to grow consultancy offerings
* Identifying opportunities to develop new services aligned with industry needs
* Playing a key role in company growth and contributing to strategic goals
To thrive as a Health & Safety Consultant, you'll bring:
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Chartered IOSH, Fellow IIRSM)
* Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH/NVQ)
* Strong working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and its application across sectors
* Practical experience with CDM regulations, audits, risk assessments, and method statements
* Familiarity with SHEQ management systems such as ISO 45001/14001/9001
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and delight clients
* A proactive, confident approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* A personable, dynamic attitude with a strong sense of initiative and professionalism
