Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join our client's team and oversee the management of a dedicated team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality holistic care to our service users, adhering to the policies and procedures of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
* Performance management of clinical staff, including recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.
* Building and leading an effective team in a clinical setting.
* Collaborating with volunteers and supporting their integration within the team.
* Facilitating the participation of service users or their families/carers in the care planning and review process.
* Maintaining communication and liaison with various departments, both internally and externally.
Complexity and Accountability:
* Delegating responsibilities appropriately and ensuring safe practice.
* Ensuring adequate staff cover and providing out-of-hours clinical support.
* Managing and assessing risks to staff and service users.
* Contribution to cost management and monitoring of supplies.
* Participation in quality standards and clinical audits.
* Contributing to the development of nursing care and services.
Other Responsibilities Include:
* Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members.
* Demonstrating activities to new or less experienced employees.
* Providing educational support to service users, carers, families, and colleagues.
* Maintaining accurate and timely records of service user consultation.
* Applying legal policies supporting the identification of vulnerable adults.
* Maintaining professional development and supporting staff training.
* Adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
* Ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining service user confidentiality.
Qualifications Required:
* NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience.
* Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
* Proven leadership skills in a clinical setting.
* Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
* Familiarity with best clinical practices for the client group.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and motivate others.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Negotiation and conflict management abilities.
* Change management proficiency.
* Capacity to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting.
